SOCCER PROGRAMS - Player Pathway

CDC - Description

For over a decade, Soccer Canada has been advocating for clubs to adopt a program prioritizing player development. Since May 2020, Soccer Quebec has made it a requirement for clubs seeking accreditation to implement this type of program. This novel framework, known as the Club Development Center (CDC), focuses on players aged 4 to 12. The CDC serves a dual purpose, offering high quality training to every player, regardless of their skill level, while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for their development. Central to the CDC’s mission is the belief that players thrive when they are enjoying themselves. It underscores the importance of providing equal training and attention to each and every player, facilitating their journey towards reaching their maximum potential.

CDC 2 - Recreational

  • Grassroots (U4-U8)
  • House Ligue (U9-U16)

CDC-2 is a recreational soccer program for girls (F) and boys (M) that is categorized by year of birth and gender. No experience, tryouts, photos, or soccer passports are required.  Shin pads and outdoor soccer shoes are mandatory and must be supplied by the participants. The related activity fees include one soccer uniform kit per player, – consisting of a jersey, shorts, socks, a soccer ball and a knapsack – and include taxes.

CDC 1 - Advanced (U9-U12)

A competition-oriented soccer program for more advanced girls (F) and boys (M).  The program is reserved for players already on one of the Club’s CDC-1 teams or for new players who have been approved by the technical staff. For more information, please email us at teams@soccerstl.ca and indicate CDC-1 in your subject line.
